A perfectly mature Rioja Reserva from a top producer and excellent vintage! All this age brings wonderful dried berry fruit, leather, tobacco, Christmas cake and elegant sweet spice notes. 1982 was an outstanding vintage in Rioja and this example has aged very gracefully.

From respected producer Frederico Paternina, these wines were originally labelled for Taberna Rogelio, a traditional Basque restaurant in Bilbao that sadly closed its doors for the final time in 2016 after 60 years of trading. Luckily for us, these wines were rescued by one of our suppliers after gathering dust in the cellars of Frederico Paternina.
